Privacy and child safety

Udayy is used by children, so the safest design is to collect as little as possible. Reading lessons and practising questions requires no account at all.

Without an account

• You can read every published lesson and take every practice set.
• Practice answers are graded on our server and then discarded — nothing is stored.
• We do not build a profile of you and we run no advertising or ad trackers.

If you choose to create an account

We store only what is needed to show your own progress back to you:

• A display name you pick — it does not have to be your real name.
• Your board, class and preferred language, so we can show the right chapters.
• Which lessons you finished, your practice scores, and your saved bookmarks.

What we never ask children for

• Date of birth, phone number, home address or school address.
• Photographs or voice recordings.
• Payment details — there is nothing to pay for.

Who can see a student's data

Only the student, and a parent or guardian whose account the student is explicitly linked to. Access rules are enforced in the database itself, not just in the app, so one learner cannot read another learner's progress. Editors and reviewers can see content and error reports, not learner records.

Content error reports

Reporting a mistake needs no account. The email field is optional and meant for adults; a student should leave it blank.

Deleting an account

A parent or student can ask for the account to be deleted, and progress records are removed with it. Published lessons are unaffected because they contain no learner data.
